Clothes Before Bros

As a single, twenty something living in a big city, it’s absolutely necessary to have a good date night outfit in your repertoire. Trust me sometimes these things pop up out of nowhere, and it helps to have a go-to that you feel confident and comfortable in. This is my take on a versatile going out outfit!

So is anyone else obsessed with jewel tones this season?! By far my favorite part of this outfit is the burgundy velvet cami. The deep-v cut and velvet fabric definitely dress up a basic pair of black skinnies, making it appropriate for so many different outings. Sushi and a night cap anyone? Keep everything sleek with a leather jacket and complete the look with neutral block heel booties or sandals. Boom – now you can relax and enjoy a fun night out!

This cami is from Abercrombie believe it or not, and super affordable. I’m obsessed! My faux leather jacket has rose gold details and and fits like a dream, you need it. It’s the perfect companion to any top. Another affordable find too!

While we’re on the subject, dating is an amazing way to get to know people and explore your city! But please please be safe! Always make sure someone knows where you are and who you are with. If you’re like me, you send live text updates to your bestie when your date isn’t looking. Speaking of… I’ve definitely had some interesting experiences dating outside of college. I once met a boy in an Uber Pool and we ended up going on a date that night to a jazz show. Such a “meet-cute” situation! Who else is a fan of The Holiday?

Anywayys I hope you all have an amazing weekend! I’m pretty busy – going on a brewery tour with friends, getting my hair done, shooting for the blog, date night, and finishing off the weekend at a Halsey concert with my best friend! My flight to home to Kansas City on Monday is probably going to be a rough one. Nothing that a Bailey’s and coffee won’t fix.

WHAT I WORE

I hate myself a little bit for that title lol.
