Now and Later

Rooftops like this make me fall in love with Chicago all over again. Until the weather drops 30 degrees in a matter of one week, and I can’t be outside for longer than 20 minutes without losing feeling in my toes. Even though it’s basically winter in the Windy city, I couldn’t resist posting this outfit. If you live in the south or on the west coast, this is the perfect fall look for you.

This velvet denim skirt is by one of my favorite brands at Nordstrom, Blank NYC. They put trendy and unique twists on basics, like this mini for example. It’s perfect for fall weather now with bare legs and then with opaque black tights later. I’m mildly obsessed.

I paired this with a simple V-neck white burnout tank half tucked in, a lightweight black/red flannel, and tan booties. I love to mix neutrals with subtle pops of color to maximize versatility and keep the focus on one key piece in your OOTD. I’m a bit of a minimalist if you couldn’t tell.

Pair this flannel with a turtleneck or neutral scarf to work seamlessly into your winter wardrobe. This exact Madewell button down I’m wearing is sold out (sad!), but I’ve linked a similar one from Abercrombie (tbt) that I actually do own and love. You’ll probably see me wearing in the near future.

These sunnies are a big favorite for me right now. It definitely helps that they were under $20 and look designer! I feel like normally round frames like this don’t look good on my face shape, but I was happily surprised when I tried these on and loved them! Grab them in the product slider below. I hope you enjoy the rest of the pics!

Fun fact: I order iced coffee year-round. I make no apologies.
