Spring Refresh

After one helluva winter, I’m ready for my moment in the sun! Who’s with me?! Ready to press the refresh button and fully embrace everything spring has to offer. The pastel colors, warmer temps, and blooming flowers give me the warm fuzzies.

So there are a few things I’m planning on doing this spring that I wanted to share with you all. First of which is cleaning my apartment out. I have a plan this weekend to go through my closet, drawers, and storage to donate everything I don’t wear anymore. I’m all about a minimalist wardrobe; not just holding onto things that either don’t fit or don’t work for me. Plus you get to give new life to the item by donating to a woman who can really use it.

Next, I have to replace some key items that I will be donating, and inject some new spring trends into my closet. You know what that means? ShOpPiNg! Number one on my list this season is a new jean jacket to pair with everything from sundresses to a simple tee. Retail therapy really works.

Amping up my workout routine is third on my to do list. For the record, I work out to feel good first and foremost. The endorphins and confidence my daily workouts bring me is so therapeutic. I use the Tone It Up app to get in shape at home and supplement with weekly Soul Cycle, running, walking, and the occasional yoga class. My bestie, Morgan, turned me onto TIU and basically anything fitness related in Chicago and I’m so grateful! She’s a good one 🙂

And finally, I’m committed to find joy this season in the little things. Like I said in my previous post, it’s so important to let go of the things in your life that no longer pour into you. Once you do that, you may feel like there is some empty space, but I like to see that as more room for happiness. Enjoy your walk to work, appreciate a good hair day, laugh at a corny joke, hug your pup – and let that fill you up. Then share it with others. People like to be around happy people!

ANYWAYS… Here’s a sunny look for you. Outfit linked in my “Shop My Faves” widget in my sidebar 😉
